After submitting an application, we’ll have a phone or email conversation to discuss your needs and suitable litters. Once matched to an upcoming litter, a deposit secures your place. You’ll receive updates at key milestones: heat cycle confirmation, pregnancy confirmation, birth announcement, puppy milestone updates, and temperament testing results around week 7 when puppies are allocated to families.
wvcat-availabilityWaitlists typically open 6–9 months before a litter is due. Wait times vary depending on your size, colour, and temperament preferences. High-demand combinations (such as mediums) may have longer waits.
wvcat-availabilityWe cannot guarantee puppies by specific dates as timing depends on our dogs’ breeding cycles and your preferences. We recommend applying well in advance (6–9 months) and discussing timing during your initial conversation with us.

Yes, we breed true miniatures. Miniature litters are planned throughout the year but availability varies. Please contact us to discuss upcoming miniature litters.
wvcat-sizecoat
Miniature: 33–42cm at shoulder, 8–12kg (usually under 10kg). Medium: 43–51cm at shoulder, 12–20kg. Standard: 52cm+ at shoulder, 20kg+ (our standard parents are approximately 25kg).
wvcat-sizecoat
A miniature is 33–42cm at the shoulder and typically under 10kg. A small medium falls between miniature and medium sizes (approximately 41–47cm). Because Cobberdogs are a breed in development, sizes can be inconsistent and even experienced breeders cannot guarantee exact adult size due to genetic variation.

Yes, you can express colour preferences however these can’t always be guaranteed. When completing your allocation form, you’ll identify a primary preference (size, gender, or colour) which we take into consideration during allocations. Temperament matching to your family takes priority.
wvcat-sizecoat
You can express a gender preference. If gender is your most important factor, select it as your primary preference. We do our best to accommodate, but the right temperament match for your family always comes first.

Colours vary by litter depending on parent pairings. We breed a range of colours including black, chocolate, cream, gold, apricot, red, and parti patterns. Contact us to discuss colours expected in upcoming litters.
