What to look for, what questions to ask, and why Wattleview is a trusted Cobberdog breeder.

If you’re looking for an Australian Cobberdog breeder in New South Wales, you’re in the right place. Wattleview Australian Cobberdogs is a small, family-based breeding program located on acreage between Goulburn and Canberra in New South Wales.

About Wattleview

We are MDBA-registered breeders (No. 20223) committed to producing healthy, well-tempered Australian Cobberdogs. Our breeding program is built on comprehensive health testing, ethical guardian placements, and evidence-based puppy raising under the Puppy Culture and Badass Breeder protocols.

Our dogs are raised on 125 acres of acreage in a home environment, with every puppy socialised from birth. We serve families across NSW, ACT, and Australia-wide.

What Makes an Ethical Cobberdog Breeder?

When searching for a Cobberdog breeder in NSW, there are several key indicators of a reputable, ethical breeder:

  • MDBA registration – the only registry for the true Australian Cobberdog
  • Comprehensive health testing – Orivet, PennHIP, and OFA on all breeding dogs
  • Transparent results – health test results available on request or on their website
  • Guardian program or home-raised – dogs living in home environments, not kennels
  • Structured puppy raising – Puppy Culture or similar protocols
  • Application and vetting process – quality breeders choose their families carefully
